Not all olive oil is created equal

Olive oil has many health benefits and it's a staple in most households. Americans spend 700 million on olive oil annually. Unfortunately, most of what you see on the market is not what you think it is. It's very expensive to produce so fraud is a growing problem. Many olive oils you find in grocery stores are extremely low quality if not completely fake. Some are made from soy, hazelnut, or fish oils. We think we are choosing a healthy option but in reality it may not be so healthy after all.

Good olive oil has many health benefits including antioxidants and monounsaturated fats which lowers your risk for heart disease. It can lower cholesterol and blood pressure while stabilizing blood sugar and reducing inflammation. Our favorite that is reputable and well made is California Olive Ranch. It's great for cooking or as dressing for a salad. It comes in a dark green glass bottle which helps keep the oil longer by not being exposed to light.
